Built in 1911, the landmark Georgian Terrace Hotel on Peachtree Street is listed in the National Registry of Historic Places. The hotel once hosted the premier party for the movie Gone With the Wind, and a major renovation in 2001 restored the hotel to its original opulence. The hotel sits within two to six blocks of clubs, restaurants and museums, as well as one mile from the glitz of downtown. The Georgian Terrace also is located across the street from the Fox Theatre, the city's premiere venue for ballet, plays and concerts. The Georgian Terrace is also located near a MARTA light-rail and bus stop for quick access to everything Atlanta.
The hotel features a swimming pool with sundeck, and a state-of-the-art, penthouse health club that boasts an inspiring view of the city. The hotel's Savoy, a top Atlanta restaurant, offers Southern fusion cuisine with dishes such as roast venison and Chilean sea bass, as well as terrace seating with a view of bustling Peachtree.
